HERE’S MY STORY

Here’s my story.
I hope you will listen to me carefully.
I’m going to tell you about music.
As you can guess, it’s one of my favorite topic.

Once upon a time, there was an amazing band,
It is made up of four fantastic guys.
They all come from England.
Let me introduce you to McFly.

Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter are the four members of McFly. They are all in their twenties.
Tom and Danny met for the first time at an audition for a new band.
It was unsuccessful, so they decided to make their own band. Then Dougie and Harry were recruited thanks to an advertisement in a magazine, called The New Musical Express. This is how McFly was born.
The band name comes from the movie Back to the future, the favorite movie of Tom Fletcher : it’s the name of the principal character, Marty McFly.

At this moment, a wonderful story of friendship and music began.

Until now, McFly discography is composed by five great albums of which I can‘t make do without.

The first album of McFly is Room on the third floor, released in 2004.
This album broke records, as McFly earned an award from Guinness World Records for being the youngest band to have a debut album enter the charts in the top position, a distinction previously held by The Beatles. I had hardly listen to this album that I like their breezy pop-rock sound.

The second one is Wonderland. For this album McFly have recorded a well-known song : You’ve got a friend written and originally recorded by Carole King. This song was the official Comic Relief (a British charity organization) single for 2005, and all profits were donated to the charity event.

In 2006, McFly appeared in the movie Just My Luck starring Lindsay Lohan, they played themselves and they released an album called Just my Luck  which was the soundtrack.

The same year, McFly did a new album called Motion In The Ocean. This album signaled an evolution in McFly’s music style. In fact, their music genuinely sounds more and more polished.

The last album is Radio:ACTIVE. It was released in September 2008. This album is kind of special because McFly decided they wanted to take their time to do this album and consequently they left London to go to Australia in order to record it. The first single was One For The Radio. In McFly’s words, it’s a song about as the band is « constant struggle for critical acceptance ». Moreover, they said that it was the best album they did, and I agree. When I heard that McFly’s new album was on store in France, I went swiftly to a store to buy it. And as soon as I had this album I couldn’t stop listening to it.

One of the reasons for which I love McFly is that they seem as great as their music. Through their music and some interviews, we can see that they’re just doing what they love the most in life. They love music. And I love their music. I just can’t stop smiling when I’m listen to it, I can’t help it. You can be sure that I will unerringly buy their next album. I wish McFly would have a long career , it’s all I long for.

In conclusion, in plain English McFly is really valuable to me therefore I hope I made you want to discover this amazing band.
